FULL-TIME: STOKE CITY 0-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
90' +1
Oh, what an opportunity that was for Undav! Bonham comes out of his box and botches his clearance, putting it straight to the Brighton man. He lobs towards an empty net and sticks it wide.
90'
D. Undav gets yellow.
Undav is handed a late booking now for attempting to impede a quick restart from Bonham. We'll have four added minutes here.
89'
Welbeck! Having been kept mostly quiet since his arrival, the forward cuts his way through the Stoke box and sees a deflected shot taken the wrong side of the near-post. That could have put this game to bed.
87'
How many chances are left in this one for Stoke? Momentum is with the hosts now, as they harry and frustrate their visitors into errors. Will they get a clear-cut opportunity?
85'
Stoke win a corner through Lowe's efforts, though Brighton are able to repel their borders again. Suddenly though, the noise has gone up and the visitors are looking a little nervous.
83'
N. Lowe enters the game and replaces J. Brown.
Stoke make their final change now, introducing Lowe for Brown.
81'
Celina is causing some headaches for Brighton around the park now, looking to pull their shape away with some success too. It is still going to need to be something special to topple the Seagulls though.
79'
Another Brighton change now and it is a former FA Cup winner in Welbeck who arrives to replace Sarmiento.
78'
D. Welbeck enters the game and replaces J. Sarmiento.
Minute
Description
77'
Stoke are definitely picking up the pace as much as they can, though both teams are a little too keen to get snarled up snapping at heels. Is that one-goal cushion really enough for Brighton?
76'
C. Taylor enters the game and replaces A. Tuanzebe.
J. Enciso enters the game and replaces K. Mitoma.
B. Celina enters the game and replaces T. Campbell.
Campbell is also replaced by the Potters, who introduce Celina.
Stoke meanwhile bring on Taylor for Tuanzebe.
75'
That is Mitoma's last action too, as Brighton replace him with Enciso.
74'
What a chance for Mitoma! He's got everywhere in this game and nearly puts matters to bed at the right post, only for Bonham to just stop his close-range effort after Brighton work up a set-piece situation.
71'
Brown sees a chance blocked now, as Stoke continue to probe for something to cling on to in this game. It's getting quite loose out there.
69'
J. Veltman enters the game and replaces F. Buonanotte.
Brighton make their first alteration now, as goalscorer Ferguson is replaced by Undav.
The Seagulls make a second swap too, with Veltman on for Buonanotte.
68'
D. Undav enters the game and replaces E. Ferguson.
S. Clucas enters the game and replaces D. Sterling.
Stoke now make their second change of the game, with Clucas on for Sterling.
67'
It looks like we could be seeing some imminent changes from the hosts, as Alex Neil aims to find a way back before it is too late in this one.
63'
We're beyond the hour mark now, and Brighton's lead still sits at just the one goal. Stoke haven't come close often enough to suggest they could pull an equaliser out of the hat, but nor do they need to. One chance is all it takes.
61'
Now Stoke look to nudge their way forward on the counter through Campbell. Alas, his runners are offside and the flag spares their blushes after the eventual final touch is a clumsy one.
59'
Save from Bonham! Caicedo cuts in and around the Stoke defence, before flicking it on for Sarmiento inside the box. He sees his shot parried, and the Potters dodge a second concession.
56'
Now another Albion attack comes to nothing, as they go looking for the second that will effectively put this game to bed. A neat move through midfield is picked off by the Stoke defence all too easily.
54'
A nice bit of work from Brighton in the build-up releases Gross with space on the right side of the box. The connection is pretty poor by his standards though and he scuffs it off-target.
52'
There's bitty fouls seemingly flying in now, with plenty of Brighton players voicing their displeasure to the officials. There's no further cards flashed however, despite their protests.
50'
L. Baker gets yellow.
Baker clips Caicedo on the back of the right ankle and the latter goes down like a sack of potatoes. It's a yellow card for the Stoke man.
48'
An early free-kick for the Potters allows them what has felt like a rare opportunity to tip the ball into the opposition box. The defence proves more than up to the task and robustly puts it back to safety.
46'
W. Smallbone enters the game and replaces J. Laurent.
Stoke have made a change at the break too, with Smallbone brought on in place of Laurent.
We're back underway at the bet365 Stadium. Can Stoke find a way to turn the tables in this match or will Brighton see it out in comfort?
45' +2
HALF-TIME: STOKE CITY 0-1 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
45'
There will be just the one added minute here.
44'
Speaking of chances, now Steele is forced into a leaping save as Stoke rob Brighton of possession. It's Thompson who curls an effort in and requires the goalkeeper to flex his muscles.
43'
If they hadn't picked up a goal already, you get the sense Brighton would be seriously frustrated. They have overwhelmed their hosts with the ball in general, but haven't had too many great chances.
41'
A patient Brighton passage looks to manipulate and stretch the Stoke defence as wide as they can, before Caicedo launches a strike from distance. It's wayward and off-target, drifting past the left post.
38'
Campbell draws the foul from Lamptey. Those two are getting into a not-insignificant tussle with both the brain and the body down there. There might be a further card in the mix somewhere.
36'
Stoke are barely seeing the ball now, and that seems to be coinciding with Brighton stamping out those sloppy errors in possession we saw over the first quarter-hour. The Potters may need a break in this game.
34'
Brighton push for a second, with Mitoma forcing a corner down the left edge. Stoke hold their nerve to see the ball away however, but the Seagulls can smell fresh opportunities in the air.
32'
It's going to take a turnaround for Stoke to win this one, in regular time at least. A two-goal comeback against a Premier League side is a hard one to pull off, even in the FA Cup.
30'
E. Ferguson has scored a goal for Brighton & Hove Albion! Assist by K. Mitoma.
Mitoma has been making the metres count up and down that wing today, in attack and defence. His collection and final touch there are well-measured, and beautifully balanced.
GOAL! STOKE 0-1 BRIGHTON! It's Ferguson who breaks the deadlock in the Midlands, after a quiet start to the game. Dunk rolls a lovely ball down the left after catching the defence out through Mitoma. He simply cuts the ball beyond Bonham inside for a tap-in finish. Textbook stuff, but lovely to watch!
29'
Shot from Stoke! Campbell tracks Lamptey and picks him off all too easily before streaking across the field from right to left. He turns and powers an effort in that forces Steele to drop low for a save.
27'
It is the Premier League side who are threatening more, of that there can be little doubt. But Stoke are certainly proving a tough nut to crack defensively. There's a long way to go in this contest.
25'
If there is something to be said for this game so far, it is that clear-cut chances have been at something of a premium. Since those corners, Brighton haven't created an obvious opportunity, though Mac Allister now sees a shot blocked.
21'
J. Laurent gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the day is out, and it is for Stoke's Laurent, after another industrial challenge on Caicedo. The Ecuador international is certainly drawing those tackles to him.
20'
Hoever will breathe a sigh of relief after his pocket was picked, with the defender doing a good job to track back and cut off a Brighton move with Mac Allister looking dangerous.
19'
Caicedo draws a free-kick now and there's a groan from the home fans. There's plenty of space at the bet365 Stadium today, but those here are making their frustration with the decision-making known.
17'
Brown now looks to slip away on the counter-move inside the Brighton half before Dunk pounces on him. The forward thinks he should have a free-kick, though the referee is not biting.
14'
A half-chance for the Seagulls now, and Sarmiento may wonder where his support was. He cuts along the centre-right flank and dinks around the box, only for the defence to close him down.
12'
Hoever concedes something of a soft corner after allowing a Brighton ball down the right to run out of play off him. The Potters clear the area and break on the counter, but Mitoma cuts off the danger.
10'
After those early opportunities, this game has settled into a midfield tussle for the moment. We've seen a few industrial challenges so far, as Stoke look to keep up that high press.
8'
With the first proper set-piece chance of the day now, Van Hecke sticks a header over the crossbar, looped with too much height. Remember, if this is tied after 90 minutes, we go to extra-time.
7'
Better from the Seagulls, who try some more intricate play to exploit the gaps. Lamptey floats a cracker of a ball in to the far post and Buonanotte sees his header bundled out for a corner by Bonham.
5'
There's a high press from Stoke so far that is putting Caicedo under the pump. The Brighton back-line is getting a workout, highlighted a moment later as Campbell fends off Dunk and forces a save from Steele.
3'
Both sides exchange a flurry of long balls across a lively first few minutes, before Bonham has to dart out of his box to thrash away one such delivery from Dunk looking for Mitoma.

We are underway in this FA Cup fifth round tie between Stoke City and Brighton and Hove Albion!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2022-23 FA Cup fifth round, as Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion make the trip to face Championship side Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
Yet form can go out of the window when it comes to the FA Cup, and their hosts are one team with a bit of recent history. It was in 2011 when, as a top-tier side, Stoke made the final. Now, fighting at the wrong end of the Championship, Alex Neil will hope to conjure those old memories again.
Of those, just over half come from the Premier League, including today's visitors. Having started the season under Graham Potter, the Seagulls haven't quite flown as high under Roberto De Zerbi since, but they are still overwhelming favourites.
STOKE CITY (4-3-3): Jack Bonham; Dujon Sterling, Axel Tuanzebe, Ben Wilmot, Ki-Jana Hoever; Lewis Baker, Jordan Thompson, Josh Laurent; Jacob Brown, Tyrese Campbell, Josh Tymon.
Substitutes: Thomas McGill, Deniz Undav, Andrew Moran, Joel Veltman, Robert Sanchez, Jack Hinshelwood, Adam Webster, Julio Enciso, Danny Welbeck.
BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION (4-2-3-1): Jason Steele; Tariq Lamptey, Jan-Paul van Hecke, Lewis Dunk, Pascal Gross; Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo; Jeremy Sarmiento, Kaoru Mitoma, Facundo Buonanotte; Evan Ferguson.
Substitutes: Morgan Fox, Frank Fielding, Kahrel Reddin, Sam Clucas, Nathan Lowe, William Smallbone, Bersant Celina, Connor Taylor, Dwight Gayle.
With March just around the corner, English football is fast approaching the business end of its oldest and most prestigious competition this week. There were 732 teams who entered – and now only 16 remain.
One man who was never really in doubt to start today is Kaoru Mitoma, of course. The Japan winger returned from World Cup duty to deliver a last-gasp stunner in the fourth round, helping Brighton upset much-fancied – if misfiring – Liverpool, in a 2-1 win.
Stoke meanwhile saw off fourth-tier Stevenage to get here, before being rewarded with a plum home tie against Premier League opposition. The hosts have absolutely nothing to lose in this one, and you can bet they will play that way.
The teams are out and we are moments away from kick-off here now. Today's referee is Darren Bond.
There we have it then! As the first kick-off of the round, it means Roberto De Zerbi and his men are the first into the hat for the sixth round this season. They will consider it job done, if not necessarily in scintillating fashion. For all their dominance, they never found the second goal that would have made it an easier trip.
That's all from us today, but thank you for joining us. Have a great week!
For Alex Neil, defeat is a two-edged sword. It brings to a close the chance of a feelgood cup run to rouse the emotions around his side. On the other hand, it allows them to focus on ensuring they are nowhere near the wrong end of the Championship come the business end of the season.
